The appearance of acne scars is directly related to the manipulation of pimples. Squeezing pimples worsens the inflammatory condition and prevents the wound from regenerating properly, causing the dreaded acne scars. Another reason that can cause acne scars is the degree of injury caused by the pimple, that is, if it is acne between degrees 3 and 5, there is a greater probability of developing scars.
How to treat acne scars?
Acne scars can be treated in two ways depending on how deep the marks are. In the case of lighter marks, the treatment usually involves exfoliation procedures, in order to remove the superficial layers of the skin, promoting cell renewal and consequently skin regeneration more uniformly. In cases of deeper scars, however, we can choose to generate “lesions” slightly deeper in the skin, in order to promote tissue regeneration, contributing to the uniformity of the skin. In some cases, products such as hyaluronic acid can also be applied in order to fill in the deepest scars.
